MarinaProse started off as a writing blog in September 2014, hosted by Marina Montenegro. Originally a tumblr blog called “Writing the Words”, the goal was to provide new writers with advice to help them to enhance and develop their own writing. 

For two years, the blog posted weekly articles on writing, with a new post every Monday. In March of 2016, Writing the Words expanded it’s social media, and that August, began to promote young and diverse writers. 

Writing the Words went offline in 2018 after years of encouraging, promoting, and even publishing writers. 

Marina’s personal writing has always been inspired by finding beauty in the world. In 2020, Marina decided to return to blogging, but this time wanted to incorporate everything that they loved. MarinaProse continues to share writing advice, but also talks about travel, lifestyle, tea, and more.
